Savant m\u00e9lange de Jeu de R\u00f4le papier et d’aventure narrative en mode Heroic Fantasy, BG3 n’usurpe d\u00e9finitevement pas sa r\u00e9putation et sa note de 96 sur Metacritic<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qui a dit que le JDR \u00e9tait mort ? Certainement pas le studio Belge Larian, derri\u00e8re ce nouvel opus sorti 20 apr\u00e8s le 2e. Sorti en ao\u00fbt 2023, je n’avais pas beaucoup pris le temps de m’int\u00e9resser au concept de Baldur’s Gate, mais les retours des joueurs autours de moi \u00e9taient tous unaniment : BG3 est une tuerie dans son genre. Mais, cr\u00e9tin que je suis, attendait patiemment la sortie de StarField des studios Bethesda, et ne me voyais pas investir le temps n\u00e9cessaire pour jouer correctement \u00e0 un jeu de la trempe de BG3.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starfield ? D\u00e9j\u00e0 dans un carton<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

En septembre, j’ai donc achet\u00e9 Starfield, le jeu d’aventure et d’exploration spatiale d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par le studio qui peut compter Skyrim, Fallout 4, puis Fallout 76, puis… Enfin bref, toujours est-il que j’ai investi pas moins de 5h de jeu dans Starfield, pour y avoir d\u00e9j\u00e0 ressenti le vide des qu\u00eates et le vide du monde. L’ennui total, absolu, abyssal. L’impression de jouer \u00e0 un Fallout et un Skyrim mais dans un monde artificiellement agrandi et vide, avec les m\u00eames sch\u00e9mas narratifs et exactement le m\u00eame moteur de jeu, avec quelques exceptions. J’ai relanc\u00e9 de force ce jeu quelques fois, pour m’assurer que mon ressenti n’\u00e9tait tout simplement pas li\u00e9 \u00e0 quelques forces IRL qui m’emp\u00e9cheraient de profiter du soft. D\u00e9\u00e7u une \u00e9ni\u00e8me fois par un jeu de Bethesda, je commence \u00e0 croire que Skyrim (et \u00e0 la rigueur la s\u00e9rie des Fallout) \u00e9taient un coup de chance pour ce studio. La critique viendra tr\u00e8s vite. Du coup, je n’ai plus de jeu \u00e0 jouer, pour le moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merci Starfield, place \u00e0 Baldur’s Gate 3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L’espace laiss\u00e9 dans mon petit coeur d\u00e9\u00e7u et tout raplapla de mon aventure spatiale me donne envie d’aller essayer BG3. A vrai dire, je suis un aigri fini sur les nouvelles sorties de jeu, et je ne m’attend jamais a \u00eatre impressionn\u00e9 par un titre. D\u00e9j\u00e0 pour commencer, je trouve que les graphismes sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 d’un style un peu vieillit (GeForce GTX 1070). Je lance le jeu et l\u00e0, nous voil\u00e0 propuls\u00e9 dans l’aventure ! Vous vous r\u00e9veillez dans un vaisseau-organique dans lequel un flagelleur-mental tente de vous introduire un parasite par votre globe oculaire. Ce vaisseau est ensuite pris en chasse par d’autres factions et vous tenterez alors de sauver votre couenne avec d’autres rescap\u00e9s de la bataille. Mais attention, chaque prise de d\u00e9cision devra \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 d’un lanc\u00e9 de d\u00e9 et de quelques sueurs froides quant \u00e0 votre possible \u00e9chec, car rien n’est gagn\u00e9 d’avance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u00e0 o\u00f9 Starfield peine \u00e0 donner le sentiment de pouvoir piloter des vaisseaux spatiaux (un comble dans un jeu de l’espace non ?), Baldur’s Gate 3 m’a donn\u00e9 l’impression de m’inviter progressivement au jeu et \u00e0 son gameplay tout particulier, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa narration que je trouve de tr\u00e8s bonne qualit\u00e9. Ni trop pr\u00e9sente, ni trop absente, la narration laisse place \u00e0 l’action et l’aventure se lance tr\u00e8s vite. Partag\u00e9 entre ce sentiment de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 lorsque vous ferez des actions simples \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser, le jeu vous offre l’opportunit\u00e9 de vous mesurer assez vite \u00e0 des forces hostiles plus haut niveau que vous, et en combinant une bonne strat\u00e9gie et une bonne chance au lanc\u00e9 de d\u00e9, vous pourrez l’emporter (non sans mal, j’ai un peu gal\u00e9r\u00e9 dans la crypte hein).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un m\u00e9ta-jeu dans le jeu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La critique la plus remont\u00e9e concernant Baldur’s Gate 3 est sa \u00ab\u00a0duret\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. De nombreuses informations sont disponibles concernant les objets, les classes, les races, les sorts, les r\u00e9sistances… Mais rien ne sert de toutes les maitriser pour jouer et profiter du jeu. Il est clair que pour ceux qui voudront obtenir les builds les plus puissants, il faudra y passer du temps. Mais malgr\u00e9 tout, je trouve que dire que Baldur’s Gate est un jeu dur n’est pas un terme bien choisi : non, BG3 n’est pas dur, mais il vous demandera d’\u00eatre strat\u00e9gique et de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux actions \u00e0 faire. Ca change un peu des jeux auxquels ces joueurs doivent jouer, voil\u00e0 tout.<\/p>\n\n\n

Jouer \u00e0 Baldur’s Gate 3 va demander de g\u00e9rer une \u00e9quipe d’aventuriers, que vous devrez \u00e9quilibrer pour avancer plus facilement dans l’univers, en combinant les forces et les faiblesses de chacun. En co-op avec des I.A. ou en multijoueur, BG3 promet de bonnes parties de rigolades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La bande sonore n’est pas inoubliable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

C’est vrai : la bande sonore de BG3 n’est pas la meilleure que j’ai pu entendre, mais je dois avouer que la musique ou certains th\u00e8mes musicaux arrivent parfois \u00e0 un timing bien pr\u00e9cis et qu’on aura plaisir \u00e0 \u00e9couter. Un v\u00e9ritable travail \u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 ce niveau l\u00e0 (dans le m\u00eame genre, on retrouve Zelda : Breath Of The Wild et Tear Of The Kingdom, dont la bande sonore est discr\u00e8te mais sait devenir pertinente \u00e0 certains moments). Par contre, je regrette que le doublage des textes n’ait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en fran\u00e7ais : cela aurait pu donner une toute nouvelle dimension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et pour le mot de la fin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
