Bien que l\u2019affaire de \u00ab\u00a0The Day Before\u00a0\u00bb soit particuli\u00e8rement tentaculesque, elle n\u2019est pas sans rappeler les anciennes d\u00e9convenues des ventes en acc\u00e8s anticip\u00e9es de jeux aux promesses non tenues (je pense notamment \u00e0 No Man\u2019s Sky ; Cyberpunk 2077 ; Fallout 76 ; \u2026). Cependant, malgr\u00e9 des d\u00e9marrages tr\u00e8s compliqu\u00e9s, les studios des titres sus-cit\u00e9s ont r\u00e9ussis \u00e0 tenir beaucoup d\u2019engagements \u00e0 force de temps et de patchs (comme s\u2019il \u00e9tait incroyable qu\u2019il faille du temps et des ressources pour d\u00e9velopper les promesses faites par le marketing\u2026)<sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"12\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000010020000000000000000_721\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000010020000000000000000_721-12\">12<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-00000000000010020000000000000000_721-12\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"12\">Par exemple, No Man\u2019s Sky est devenu le jeu promis 3 ans apr\u00e8s sa sortie ; <a href=\"https:\/\/gamewave.fr\/no-man-s-sky\/no-man-s-sky-le-nombre-de-joueurs-augmente-drastiquement-grace-a-beyond\/\">NO MAN&rsquo;S SKY : LE NOMBRE DE JOUEURS AUGMENTE DRASTIQUEMENT GR\u00c2CE \u00c0 BEYOND<\/a> ; Corentin Rimbert pour Gameware.fr ; 19 ao\u00fbt 2019.<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais alors, quid des studios qui mettent la cl\u00e9 sous la porte, apr\u00e8s avoir vendu un jeu pour lequel les fondateurs d\u2019un studio n\u2019avaient aucune vue d\u2019ensemble sur le temps, les ressources ou m\u00eame la faisabilit\u00e9 de leurs id\u00e9es ? Et bien, alors que les exemples d\u2019\u00e9checs se multiplient et que les probl\u00e8mes sont tout \u00e0 fait correctement point\u00e9s, on aurait pu s\u2019imaginer une prise de conscience globale de l\u2019industrie, des studios et m\u00eame des consommateurs. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 en est tout autre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si je vous parle de cette sombre affaire concernant The Day Before et le studio Fntastic aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est qu\u2019il se pourrait que le studio Fntastic, qui avait jet\u00e9 ses projets, ses d\u00e9veloppeurs b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et son jeu \u00e0 la poubelle (ainsi que tous les espoirs des joueurs qui croyaient dans le projet) essayerait de faire table rase du pass\u00e9 pour tout recommencer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00ab\u00a0On a chang\u00e9, t\u00e9kat\u00e9 BRO\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nouveau site, nouveau logo, le studio d\u00e9ploie m\u00eame une charte de bonne conduite, avec 3 mots d\u2019ordre : honn\u00eatet\u00e9 ; transparence ; professionnalisme. Finito les contrat b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, ils ont bien compris que ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas foufou. Bien que \u00e7a ne soit pas ill\u00e9gal, le repentir du studio nouvellement r\u00e9form\u00e9 sonne \u00e9videmment creux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">50 pigeons plus loin \u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bonne nouvelle pour le bon sens, le projet de financement participatif a \u00e9t\u00e9 finalement abandonn\u00e9 par le studio le 23 octobre, 2 jours avant sa fin, apr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9colt\u00e9 moins de 3000 $ avec 50 contributeurs. La fraude Fntastic a \u00e9t\u00e9 encore mis en lumi\u00e8re, et le studio semble au point mort, les informations n\u2019ayant pas \u00e9t\u00e9 mises \u00e0 jour sur leur site depuis fin septembre. La seule erreur de ce <em>revival<\/em>, peut \u00eatre, c\u2019est de n\u2019avoir pas chang\u00e9 le nom du studio, car il aurait peut-\u00eatre \u00e9t\u00e9 plus difficile de faire le lien entre The Day Before et ce nouveau projet.
