Ce merveilleux m\u00e9canisme \u2013 capable de transformer nos plus belles r\u00e9ussites en am\u00e8res d\u00e9ceptions \u2013 m\u00e9rite bien un petit billet d\u2019humeur. <strong>Pourquoi le syst\u00e8me de capture du jeu est-il, \u00e0 mon humble avis, si mauvais&nbsp;?<\/strong> Spoiler&nbsp;: parce qu\u2019il ne r\u00e9compense absolument pas la <strong>constance<\/strong> du joueur et repose enti\u00e8rement sur la <strong>chance<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Des bonus de capture \u00e0 gogo (en th\u00e9orie)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur le papier, Pok\u00e9mon Go semble offrir de <strong>nombreuses mani\u00e8res d\u2019am\u00e9liorer vos chances de capture<\/strong>. Parmi les facteurs qui influencent la probabilit\u00e9 d\u2019attraper un Pok\u00e9mon, on trouve notamment\u00a0: l\u2019esp\u00e8ce et le niveau du Pok\u00e9mon, le type de balle utilis\u00e9e (Pok\u00e9, Super, Hyper), le fait de lancer la Pok\u00e9 Ball en courbe, l\u2019usage d\u2019une Baie (Framby normale ou dor\u00e9e), la qualit\u00e9 du lancer (Joli, Super, Excellent) et m\u00eame d\u2019\u00e9ventuels bonus de m\u00e9daille de type<sup data-fn=\"c8a60aa5-fe19-4ae6-b202-6dc0152f87e3\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"c8a60aa5-fe19-4ae6-b202-6dc0152f87e3-link\" href=\"#c8a60aa5-fe19-4ae6-b202-6dc0152f87e3\">1<\/a><\/sup>. D\u2019ailleurs, un calcul amusant montre que le maximum th\u00e9orique absolu atteignable (dans des conditions ultra sp\u00e9cifiques) serait un multiplicateur de ~1150&nbsp;\u00d7 sur le taux de base. En optimisant ses chances, on devrait attraper n&rsquo;importe quoi &#8230; en th\u00e9orie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le probl\u00e8me ? <strong>M\u00eame avec tous ces bonus, la capture reste un jeu de probabilit\u00e9s.<\/strong> Vous n\u2019atteindrez <strong>jamais 100&nbsp;% de chances<\/strong> de capture sauf cas sp\u00e9ciaux (comme certains Pok\u00e9mon garantis) si le taux de base n\u2019est pas d\u00e9j\u00e0 100%. Pour parler clair&nbsp;: si un Pok\u00e9mon a seulement 10&nbsp;% de chance d\u2019\u00eatre captur\u00e9 \u00e0 la base, vous aurez beau lui lancer des Excellents avec des Hyper Balls et des Baies dor\u00e9es, vous n\u2019arriverez jamais \u00e0 un taux d\u2019attrapabilit\u00e9 de 100&nbsp;%. Il restera toujours une part de <strong>hasard<\/strong> irr\u00e9ductible \u2013 et c\u2019est l\u00e0 que le b\u00e2t blesse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pas de r\u00e9compense \u00e0 la rigueur du joueur<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, donc on peut augmenter la probabilit\u00e9 de capture avec des bonus. Mais <strong>peu importe vos efforts r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s, le jeu ne \u00ab&nbsp;retient&nbsp;\u00bb pas votre performance d\u2019un lancer \u00e0 l\u2019autre.<\/strong> Chaque tentative est un tirage au sort ind\u00e9pendant, avec la <em>m\u00eame probabilit\u00e9<\/em> de succ\u00e8s ou d\u2019\u00e9chec que la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Ni votre habilet\u00e9, ni votre pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance ne sont prises en compte dans le calcul. En termes simples, \u00ab&nbsp;<em>la probabilit\u00e9 de capture ne d\u00e9pend pas du num\u00e9ro d\u2019essai &nbsp;: si le Pok\u00e9mon s\u2019\u00e9chappe, vos chances restent inchang\u00e9es au lancer suivant<\/em>. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pogo.gamepress.gg\/catch-mechanics#:~:text=not%20all%20Great%21%20throws%20give,chances%20on%20the%20next%20throw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>Imaginons un instant ce que \u00e7a signifie en pratique. Vous pouvez r\u00e9ussir <strong>dix lancers Excellents d\u2019affil\u00e9e<\/strong>, avec courbe et Baie dor\u00e9e sur un Pok\u00e9mon, et malgr\u00e9 cela, rater la capture. Puis au 11e lancer, quand vous \u00eates compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9, que vous lancez votre derni\u00e8re Pok\u00e9ball de capture sans trop y croire, vous ratez l&rsquo;excellent effet. Et tadaam, le Pok\u00e9mon est attrap\u00e9 ! Le jeu consid\u00e8re chaque lanc\u00e9 <strong>isol\u00e9ment<\/strong>, soumis \u00e0 une probabilit\u00e9 fixe. Aucune <strong>augmentation progressive<\/strong> du taux de capture pour vous r\u00e9compenser d\u2019encha\u00eener les bons lancers. Z\u00e9ro. Nada. Pourquoi <strong>r\u00e9compenser la ma\u00eetrise<\/strong>, apr\u00e8s tout&nbsp;? Autant dire que <strong>la constance du joueur ne sert \u00e0 rien<\/strong> dans le syst\u00e8me actuel \u2013 seule la chance d\u00e9cide en dernier ressort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019aucuns ont un jour esp\u00e9r\u00e9 l\u2019existence d\u2019un <em>\u00ab&nbsp;pity timer&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, un m\u00e9canisme cach\u00e9 de rattrapage qui augmenterait progressivement le taux de capture apr\u00e8s plusieurs \u00e9checs. <strong>Niantic <\/strong>ne communiquant rien l\u00e0-dessus, la majorit\u00e9 des joueurs en doute. Les donn\u00e9es confirment d\u2019ailleurs que <strong>le nombre d\u2019essais n\u2019a pas d\u2019effet direct<\/strong> sur le taux de capture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant \u2013 <em>plot twist<\/em> \u2013 il y a eu une d\u00e9couverte int\u00e9ressante c\u00f4t\u00e9 communaut\u00e9\u00a0: une \u00e9tude du groupe The Silph Road en 2021 a sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 qu\u2019<strong>en combat de raid, les Pok\u00e9mon deviennent plus faciles \u00e0 capturer vers la fin<\/strong>. D\u2019apr\u00e8s leurs 6\u202f500 tests, un boss de raid aurait un taux de capture <strong>l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 sur la 10\u00e8me balle que sur la 1\u00e8re<\/strong>, toutes conditions de lancer \u00e9tant \u00e9gales par ailleurs<sup data-fn=\"d52fa16a-fc5b-4076-9bac-4178d7fe385f\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"d52fa16a-fc5b-4076-9bac-4178d7fe385f-link\" href=\"#d52fa16a-fc5b-4076-9bac-4178d7fe385f\">3<\/a><\/sup>. En gros, il existerait un <strong>multiplicateur cach\u00e9 dynamique<\/strong> en raid qui monte avec les tentatives (comme si vos derni\u00e8res Honor Balls se transformaient en HyperBall en terme d\u2019efficacit\u00e9). Mais attention\u00a0: ce bonus reste <strong>invisible<\/strong>, n\u2019est pas confirm\u00e9 officiellement, et semble absent des <strong>rencontres sauvages normales<\/strong>. Cela indique que la formule du taux de capture pr\u00e9dit avec pr\u00e9cision le nombre de boss de raid captur\u00e9s au premier lancer de la rencontre. Cependant, \u00e0 mesure que les chercheurs lan\u00e7aient plus de balles, le multiplicateur ajust\u00e9 augmentait.\u00b3 Dans les analyses portant sur les lancers 5 \u00e0 10, tous les intervalles de confiance \u00e0 95 % excluaient la valeur attendue de 1, indiquant qu\u2019un autre multiplicateur devait intervenir dans le calcul du taux de capture. Nous avons r\u00e9\u00e9chantillonn\u00e9 les multiplicateurs dans cette plage 6 000 fois, et seulement 17 (0,3 %) \u00e9taient inf\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 1, ce qui constitue une forte preuve que cette augmentation n\u2019\u00e9tait pas due au hasard.<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vers un syst\u00e8me plus juste&nbsp;?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est peut-\u00eatre temps que Niantic revoie sa copie sur ce point. <strong>Aucun joueur ne conteste que le hasard fasse partie du jeu<\/strong>, mais il faudrait au moins que la <strong>ma\u00eetrise du lancer soit davantage valoris\u00e9e sur la dur\u00e9e d\u2019une rencontre<\/strong>. Pourquoi ne pas instaurer un <strong>bonus de pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance<\/strong>&nbsp;? Par exemple, augmenter l\u00e9g\u00e8rement le taux de capture \u00e0 chaque Excellent r\u00e9ussi cons\u00e9cutivement sur un m\u00eame Pok\u00e9mon, ou garantir la capture apr\u00e8s un certain nombre d\u2019Excellents d\u2019affil\u00e9e. Cela r\u00e9compenserait les joueurs adroits et r\u00e9duirait la frustration des s\u00e9ries noires improbables. Autant je trouve que le taux de distribution de certains l\u00e9gendaires et de leurs versions shiny soient litt\u00e9ralement overclock\u00e9e, autant je conspue ce syst\u00e8me de roulette du hasard pour la capture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niantic a su ajouter moult bonus et modificateurs, mais a oubli\u00e9 d\u2019y int\u00e9grer la notion de <strong>progression<\/strong> ou d\u2019<strong>adaptation<\/strong> \u00e0 la performance du joueur. R\u00e9sultat, un dresseur peut faire tout correctement et quand m\u00eame \u00e9chouer, ce qui donne parfois l\u2019impression d\u2019un <strong>coup de d\u00e9 divin <\/strong>plut\u00f4t que d\u2019un jeu d\u2019adresse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>En conclusion<\/strong>, je persiste et signe&nbsp;: le syst\u00e8me de capture de Pok\u00e9mon Go est nul\u2026 du moins dans sa fa\u00e7on actuelle de traiter nos lancers r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s. Il aurait tout \u00e0 gagner \u00e0 devenir un peu plus <strong>intelligent<\/strong> et <strong>\u00e9quitable<\/strong> envers les joueurs. En attendant que Niantic se r\u00e9veille sur ce sujet, nous autres dresseurs n\u2019avons pas le choix&nbsp;: on continue de lancer des Excellents en esp\u00e9rant que les dieux du hasard soient de bonne humeur.
